Did anyone see the article about this on The Concourse. As a metal head and Maryland native (I used to go to Monster Jam at the Caps Center), it’s a piece of local legend even if it’s slightly before my time (I was 2). It’s also got a ton of sweet malaise iron (I saw some gorgeous third-gen F-bodies, one of the definitive mullet cars).

I saw Van Halen at the Capital Center.
Also saw Ice Capades, The Harlem Globetrotters, and John Denver.
Have you seen the American Hi-Fi tribute to Heavy Metal Parking Lot?

Holy shit! I’ve heard the song a million times, but had never seen the video. This is fantastic!!! Words can’t describe how giddy this makes me.
Also, I think I saw Disney on Ice there, and a couple WWF events (I refuse to acknowledge it as WWE).

That’s a big record. Bob Rock produced it.

I didn’t realize that, but that’s awesome. I hadn’t paid much attention to American Hi-Fi, they are a little poppy compared to what I usually go for, but I’ll have to give them another listen.

My only problem with them is the single from their followup record.
Something about that chorus sounds.... familiar.
They were a little bratty and not as polished on the later records.
